Texas is aggressivley looking at using MOOCs to get more kids through the lower level basic courses to ensure a quicker and cheaper higher ed degree.  But can they ensure quality?  I would suggest that, well managed and executed, they can greatly improve quality.  Some faculty are concerned that their jobs will disappear..
